Press Club announces “Headliner” lunch

The Idaho Press Club is pleased to announce that Speaker of the House Scott Bedke and Senate President-Pro Tem Brent Hill will be joining us for our next on-the-record “Headliner” lunch March 1.

Mark your calendars and plan to join us beginning at 11:45 a.m. March 1 at Beside Bardenay, 612 W. Grove St., downtown on the Basque Block.

With the legislative session winding down, news is breaking inside the Statehouse on a daily (and even hourly) basis. But even at this late stage of the session, there are plenty of unresolved issues regarding education funding levels, budget decisions, the fate of proposed tax cuts and health care.

This is your chance to ask legislative leadership your most pressing questions, and they have agreed to join us for an hour-long, on-the-record forum.

Advance registration and payment is required, and can be completed by filling out the form below. Cost is $15 for Idaho Press Club members, $20 for non-members and $5 for current full-time high school or college students. Your reservation fee includes lunch featuring a salad, a sandwich and a cup of Bardenay’s famous red bean and chorizo soup.

Reservations are due no later than Friday, Feb. 26 — so act now to ensure you don’t miss your spot at this popular and always newsworthy event.

Doors will open at 11:45 a.m. March 1 to begin serving lunch. Hill and Bedke will join us as soon as the House and Senate adjourn their morning floor sessions.

This is another great event brought to you by the Southwest Chapter of the Idaho Press Club. Be sure to join or renew your Press Club membership today here.
