The editor of NewWest.Net provides the guiding vision of the online
magazine. He or she sets the tone and voice of the site and works closely
with the CEO in developing innovative strategies to bring thoughtful news to
the Rocky Mountain West. He or she manages editorial staff as well as works
with freelance writers and community contributors. The editor is also
responsible for marketing content and to serving as an ambassador to the
communities we cover. Most importantly, the editor serves as the chief
strategist on the editorial side and is in charge of driving innovation in
how NewWest.Net tells the stories of the Rocky Mountain Region.
The candidate should be equipped with the energy and enthusiasm needed to
help run a grassroots online media startup. He or she must also be ready to
roll with the ever-changing demands of the medium and interested in being a
part of scheming new ways to use the Web to tell better stories. Most of
