Job Description

Idaho Power is seeking two experienced, strategic and creative communicators capable of engaging all our audiences through traditional communication channels and emerging media, including social networking sites like twitter, YouTube, Facebook and blogs. We are looking for individuals with strong verbal, writing, story-telling and project management skills who can strategically plan for and create compelling and informative traditional and digital communication supporting the company's business initiatives and brand.

The successful candidates will possess a Bachelors degree in journalism, communication, public relations or related field OR possess equivalent education and experience that demonstrates required knowledge, skills and
abilities including at least five years work experience in marketing communication, news media, public relations or media relations and at least two years experience overseeing social networking/social media functions.

Additional Requirements

Successful applicant must have a basic understanding of energy issues, regulatory and legal practices and the region's political climate; how corporate actions, policies and decisions influence employee and public perceptions. This position will intermittently work in the field and occasionally within proximity of energized lines. Will serve on-call during non-business hours.
